What time does Universal Credit get paid?
Depending on your bank, the funds are available sometime after midnight on the day they are due, usually in the early hours. Some banks deposit money into your account around 11.30pm so you can withdraw it before midnight on benefit payday. Others will release your funds at midnight or just a few minutes after that.
How many times a month do you get paid Universal Credit?
Your Universal Credit is worked out monthly. This is called the Assessment Period. You should claim Universal Credit as soon as possible, as your Assessment Period starts when you make a claim. You will get your first payment about five weeks after you claim and you will receive payments twice a month.
